JOB
Summary:
Lead team members in area in daily activities. Communicate issues with supervisor. Assigns tasks to team members and maintains seamless operations in the warehouse. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Acts as the lead to distribute work assignments and daily activities to team members.
Promotes safe work practices
Follows and ensures quality standards are adhered to.
Post the performance numbers for area
Organizes loading and unloading of products
Moves materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Ensures the proper labelling, tagging, and packing of goods and materials in assigned area.
Assist in receiving cargo by removing from truck by hand, or using manual equipment such as hand truck or pallet jack or similar manual hand tools.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or moves orders to packing station or shipping department.
Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Complies with legal procedures for handling and receiving goods.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills: Essential Requirements
Education & Experience
High school education or GED preferred.
Minimum one year industry experience required.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
OTHER
Essential Functions:
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
Ability to climb ladders.
Must have good or corrected vision.
Ability to add and subtract.
Basic language skills required.
Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
Balances team and individual responsibilities.
Consistently at work and on time.
Working Conditions
Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment with standard office equipment available and adequate lighting. Warehouse environment includes a high volume of pedestrian traffic, exposure to high noise, moving machinery and/or vehicles, dust; warm and cold temperatures; and working closely with others. This position has varying schedules with multiple demands, and frequent distractions and interruptions.
