We are seeking a Transportation Supervisor at our Orlando, FL location:
Summary
The Transportation / Delivery Supervisor has direct responsibility for an entire team of drivers and vehicles ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of material to both internal and external customers throughout our service territory.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for daily route planning, staffing & load balancing activities.
Ensures all vehicles, drivers and processes meet both OSHA and DOT requirements.
Supervises and is responsible for complete and accurate loading process of material going out for delivery.
Ensures manifest integrity for all loads.
Provides leadership, motivation and education for personnel directly involved with delivery operations.
Schedules deliveries and dispatches drivers based on requirements of the customer as communicated through various media channels.
Keeps accurate record of deliveries (POD) and ensures manifests are properly closed.
Coordinates and communicates daily on-demand services as needed.
Ensures all assets are maintained consistent with company expectations.
Assists with monitoring and is responsible for building and vehicle safety and security.
Works closely with Distribution Center Manager, Operational Supervisors, Customer Service and customers (both internal and external) to ensure an exceptional delivery experience at a sustainable cost.
Other duties may be assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Education
A thorough knowledge of warehousing principles, practices and procedures is required.
A minimum of 3 years of progressive warehouse management experience with at least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities.
Organization and time management skills, detail oriented, able to prioritize in a multi-tasking environment and ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
A bachelor's degree is preferred or 8 years or more of supervisory experience in a delivery or transportation role may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises a staff of up to 25 people and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable OSHA and DOT regulations. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
