LPN - Med Surg - PRN - Days
Delivers professional and technical nursing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients who require acute medical care.
Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
Nursing care delivered complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Works under the direction of, and in collaboration with, the hospital s medical staff.
Prepares equipment and assists physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards.
Assists in planning, supervising, and instructing Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nursing Assistants thereby providing nursing care to a number of patients.
May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by department head or nursing supervisor.
Minimum Education:
Associate/Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Required Certification/Registration:
Current Florida RN license or GN that is Florida board eligible
BLS certification from American Heart Association
IV Certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language.
Required Education:
Successful completion of unit-based stroke education within 90 days of hire.
Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition.
