The Operations and Maintenance Manager (O&M) shall organize and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the operations and maintenance personnel, establish priories for repair work and projects, plan and schedule outage work and provide technical guidance, provide direction during unusual operations, repair problems, or system upsets. The O&M Manager will conduct or participate in studies to improve the plant operations, maintenance, or equipment and will monitor the effectiveness of plant manuals and procedures, instituting changes or additions, as required. The O&M Manager will also oversee the training of operations and maintenance personnel, ensuring the availability of promotable people, the plants readiness to meet emergency or unusual situations and safe and efficient day-to-day operations.
Position Requirements
The position of O&M Manager will require an individual having at least ten (10) years experience, including supervision of the day-to-day operation of mass-burn, resource recovery equipment or fossil-fueled electric generating units. While an engineering degree is desired, hands-on operating experience and utility training will acceptable. The successful candidate must also be able to qualify as an ASME Site Specific Chief Facility Operator within six (6) months of employment.
