Mechanical Estimator / Project Manager

Major Job Elements
Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks documenting information for estimating purposes
Read and comprehend project specifications, scope and schedules.
Generate and track RFI'S to clarify drawings and bid documents.
Prepare technical clarifications and exclusions for the estimate to mitigate risk.
Proposal development and estimating including labor, material and equipment take offs.
Identify pre-fabrication opportunities and integrate into estimate.
Develop as needed subcontractor RFQ packages and solicit for pricing.
Prepare a complete and comprehensive proposal for in house review and submittal to client.
Develop and deliver project submittals for approval.
Order material and rental equipment to support projects.
Communicate labor requirements to various trade unions required.
Identify, create and submit project change orders.
Track project financial and schedule adherence
Assist in project close out requirements.
Assist in the creation and submittal of project turn over packages.
Qualifications
Familiarity with general mechanical installation
Process Piping experience with strong understanding of mechanical and piping drawings
Working knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3 and API 1104
Knowledge of welding and welding processes.

years of estimating in construction related field
Ability to effectively interact with customers, field personnel, sales and office staff.
Proficient computer skills MS Office.
Excellent verbal, communication and organizational skills are a must.
