Senior Finance Manager Blue Buffalo
This challenging high exposure position is an excellent developmental opportunity. This key finance leader will have financial responsibility including the development of short, medium, and long term plans; analysis of business results; and direct involvement in investment analyses. The person will need to work cross-functionally and globally with the leadership team to influence decisions to maximize the financial returns to the business while ensuring ideas are being challenged and strong financial controls are enforced.
Responsibilities include:
FP&A
Leverage IT tools to improve reporting processes; enterprise-wide management of our BI tool to ensure consistency & standardization
Support and drive preparation of Board/Executive/Investor decks and various ad-hoc related analysis
Align Reporting/Systems Strategy w/Business Priorities
Act as IT Liaison
Drive standardization of financial reporting and related KPI metrics
Produce weekly dashboards, leadership reporting and KPI decks
Business Partnership
Act as a financial advisor to their respective functional / business partner and provide financial leadership to drive performance; drive accountability and management of SG&A cost centers
Participate in monthly actual close process
Drive income variance analysis, including gaining an in-depth understanding of price, volume, mix performance, productivity, and cost drivers
Provide insightful financial analysis of consolidated results, including budgets, forecasts and month-end results. Determine key drivers of business performance.
Management of senior finance analyst and provide coaching and leadership to the team
BASIC
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant Finance experience, with increasing levels of responsibility (i.e. FP&A, business analysis, controllership)

Ability to initiate and lead projects/teams, drive actions and provide recommendations for decision making
Strong attention to detail and ability to understand/interpret complex data and communicate it in a simple way across functional groups.
Self-motivated, results-oriented individual who independently develops solutions

Ability to manage multiple, critical projects simultaneously, reprioritizing as required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact effectively and confidently with all levels of the organization
Proactively questions current practices; identifies root cause issues and process improvement opportunities
Strong skills in information technology financial applications, particularly SAP (or an equivalent ERP system), Hyperion and Excel financial models
Strong project management skills and needs the ability to provide coaching and direction to more junior financial analysts Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal/ written communication
Able to excel in fast paced business environment
Passion for companion animals
Must be able to work in an environment with free-roaming companion pets
