The Sales Director is responsible for development of the hospice program through direct community contacts for the purpose of educating healthcare providers as well as the general public about the hospice program. The Sales Director is responsible for leading the Hospice Care Consultants' individual sales contributions whose focus is on specific referral sources in the community. Additionally, the Sales Director serves to coordinate the marketing team's participation and execution of the program's strategic plan, serves as a resource for staff. This individual also monitors the educational needs of the marketing team to enhance their professional development and provides training and assists with contracting, when necessary.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides accurate information regarding hospice services in response to inquiries by healthcare providers and general public
In concert with the Executive Director and the Regional VP of Sales, prepares a goal directed development plan for the purpose of educating health care providers and the general public about the hospice program
Provides support and marketing consultation to hospice care consultants and program personnel
Maintains current data on market area, competitors, and marketing strategies; Participates in weekly development meetings; completes and submits, as required, all activity reports and documentation
Maintains an organized approach to territory management; prepares and conducts calls and presentations to potential referral sources; participates in sales forecasting, strategic planning and the analysis for all assigned program territories in conjunction with the hospice agency business plan
Trains and mentors other Hospice Care Consultants as required by the Executive Director or Regional VP of Sales
Coordinates with clinical management staff in planning in-services, presentations, and in addressing issues with referral sources
Initiates and coordinates contract negotiations with facilities, insurance companies, and managed care organizations
Participates in community and organizational programs as requested to promote professional growth and understanding of hospice care
Participates in the quality and performance improvement process of the hospice program
The ideal candidate will meet the following
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or health related field preferred
One to two years experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in health care marketing preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in skills related to public relations and marketing
Ability to work independently in the management of assigned responsibilities
Possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
