Overview
To provide case management for the Asbury Park Corps social service programs under the direction of the Corps Officer with professional supervision provided by Divisional Headquarters Human Services Staff. The social services case manager will be able to identify the needs of the clients served and provide outreach within the community at large.
ResponsibilitiesPerform intakes, interviews, and assessments of clients' needs and perform follow up case management with households for other supportive programs available if needed beyond emergency assistance.Identify and interact with case management clients; provide comprehensive case management including but not limited to assessment of client needs, developing a plan of action utilizing a strengths-based approach, and identifying internal and external programs that would support their pathway to self-sufficiency.Complete home visits as needed for various program requirements.Coordinate services with partner agencies to ensure a holistic service approach for all clients.Support the Pathway of Hope Initiative by enrolling eligible families with children under 18 who are living in generational/chronic poverty and providing the above case management in conjunction with the Pathway of Hope policies and procedures.Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of records and reports in applicable databases for all community programs and funding sources as requested by the Corps Officers.Maintain accurate, confidential and updated case records in accordance with The Salvation Army record keeping policies and procedures.Arrange workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, employees and community groups as needed.Represent the Salvation Army at community meetings as assigned and provide feedback and information helpful to the operation and service delivery of the Corps.Organize and operate food pantry inventories.Grant research and writing following Divisional process.Assist with special events planning, seasonal assistance, and implementation, i.e. Angel tree Program.Prepare and maintain Salvation Army statistical reports for timely submissionAttend and participate in regular staff meetings/ trainings and individual supervision meetings as required.Uphold the standards and principles of The Salvation Army's mission and ministryAll Other duties assigned.
QualificationsBachelor's Degree Required in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services related field from an accredited institution.Master's Degree in Social Work preferred.At least 1 to 2 years of experience in case management or counseling.Strong written and verbal communication skillsPossess organizational skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, Access.Knowledgeable of Monmouth County and community resources.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish rapport.Ability to maintain confidentiality of interactions with clients and fellow employees.Awareness and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of populations served.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
