The General Mechanic III job is located at our Durafiber Technologies Plant in Winnsboro, SC.
As a member of Durafiber Technologies, the Process Mechanic will be involved in all aspects of improving plant equipment and systems productivity including but not limited to:
Provide support to the continuous implementation and reinforcement of the practices outlined in the Quality, Safety, and Environmental systems.
Diagnose and repair mechanical failures on tire cord twisting and weaving equipment.
Work closely with production personnel on breakdowns and other equipment modifications to accommodate planned production schedule changes.
Work in a safe and orderly manner maintaining good housekeeping in working and storage areas.
Perform style changes.
Perform any other assignments given by supervisor or management.
Assume personal responsibility for 100% compliance with laws, regulations and industry standards
Attend all mandatory training.
Qualifications:
2 years of general mechanic experience.
Must have detailed knowledge and understanding of the mechanical process, machine functions and various job tasks associated with machinery maintenance.
Must be able to properly document work completed in area.
Must be able to work in a safe and orderly manner and maintain good housekeeping in the working and staging areas.
Must be able to work 12 hours shifts.
