ETL Informatica Developer / Technical Consultant
to support our Federal Consulting Practice in Washington DC.
The ETL Developer Consultant is a senior level ETL programming technician, capable of working with business users to define requirements as well as design, code, test and implement complex ETL solutions. Responsibilities will include the need to regularly provide guidance and direction in design, implementation and troubleshooting problems with production systems. This position is required to keep up to date on technological developments in systems and programming. Additionally the individual will need to participate in development projects as a team member with staff from within the Information Technology department and from external departments or vendors.
Position
Responsibilities:
Participate in full technology project life cycle (analysis, design and/or package review, development, testing, quality assurance, deployment, and production support).
Responsible for analyzing, programming and implementing modifications to existing systems required by changes in the business environment.
Responsible for contributing to the creation and implementation of standards such as coding and processes throughout the life cycle of applications.
Uses the Informatica Data Integration platform to extract, transform, and load data.
Develops Informatica mapping designs.
Develops Data Integration Workflows and load processes.
Ensures adherence to locally defined standards for all developed components.
Performs data analysis for both Source and Target tables/columns.
Provides technical documentation of Source and Target mappings.
Responsible for analyzing job requirements, preparing specifications, and preparing time and cost estimates for systems development work.
Leads design and development reviews.
Works with System owners to resolve source data issues and refine transformation rules.
Ensures performance metrics are met and tracked.
Ensures high quality implementations by leveraging and maintaining automated testing techniques and conducting QA reviews.
Performs production migrations/deployments.
Escalate anticipated risk to management promptly and properly.
Analyze and identify the need for improvement in existing process/applications, present solutions and implementation plan to team.
Provide technical leadership and direction, leading an agile development team by example.
Handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

Possesses excellent communications skills.
Has the ability to develop work plans and follow through on assignments with minimal guidance.
Extensive Informatica Data Integration Platform experience.
Has extensive RDBMS experience.
Demonstrated success working with the business and system owners to obtain requirements and manage expectations.
Proven ability to share knowledge with more junior team members via a formal mentoring relationship, reviewing code, reviewing design docs, giving technical talks or as a consultant on projects.
OBIEE experience
Required
Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in data integration processes and performance tuning.

Demonstrated SQL expertise.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Must be clearable with the ability to obtain a minimum Secret Security Clearance per federal contract requirements
