Industrial and Operations Engineers
SanDisk Corporation needs Industrial and Operations Engineers
in Milpitas, California to be responsible for the development of estimated or engineering standards, optimum process layouts and methods. Respond to shifting priorities and business needs by identifying, developing, and promoting new technologies, methods, and processes. Make decisions and commitments for Operations as a member of the Product Line Core Team (PLCT). Act as operations point of contact as member of the PLCT. Ensure production readiness/Low Volume Manufacturing (LVM) by coordinating with Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sales Operations, and Factory Management throughout the high volume manufacturing of the product. Work with the Product Development Team and Marketing Teams to identify and prepare internal qualification/Customer samples builds and delivery and coordinating with the Product Configuration Team to ensure all the Bill of Materials and Stock Keeping Unit management requirements are met. Interact with all areas of integrated Supply Chain. Assist in decision making through detailed analyses and material preparations. Develop capacity analysis, business process optimization, and cost reduction efforts.
Employer will accept Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Planning Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field and 1 year of work experience in job offered or 1 year of work experience in an industrial and operations or electrical engineering-related occupation. Education or experience must include:
1. Supply Chain Planning including Industrial Engineering, Operations management, supply planning, and manufacturing engineering;
2. Working in a high volume global original equipment manufacturer (OEM) company;
3. Programming languages including VBA and working with relational Databases;
4. ISO9000 system;
5. Project management including Scope Management, Time Management, Cost Management, Quality and Risk Management to successfully run technical projects using tools including Gantt Charts and MS Project;
6. Project management techniques including Lean and Agile project Management;
7. Demand Forecasting Techniques including Regression and Time Series Modeling; and
8. Application of Mathematical Modeling and analysis to business problems including developing Optimization and advanced linear programming models using Solver and Excel- VBA programming.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
