JOB TITLE: Database Administration
PROJECT Overview:
The MCIOC provides operational support to Marine Forces (MARFOR) and to the Marine Corps and Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) and provides IO subject matter expertise in support of USMC IO advocates and proponents; enabling effective integration of IO into Marine Corps operations. The MCIOC is comprised of full-time active duty Marines, Government Civilian and support personnel functioning as a centralized repository to provide Marine operating forces with focused IO planning and the ability to integrate full spectrum IO into all MAGTF operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND
Responsibilities:
The candidate shall provide administration support, develop and integrate data structures, data sources, and user interface for data input, manipulation, queries and reports for databases supporting information operations (IO). Qualified personnel shall be certified as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II, as set forth in DOD instruction 8570.01M and be proficient with Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Access and other Microsoft office tools. Typical support activities include:
Design, develop, test, and install data base administration systems
Provide training and documentation to MCIOC personnel after development of new databases
Perform database maintenance and other database administration functions to ensure compliance with current Marine Corps, DON and DOD information technology regulations
Manage software requests and distribution within MCIOC
Provide technical assistance in the procurement of software and licensing renewals
Assistance to the web designer:
- Maintain Public facing websites
- Manage space/storage requirements for each site
- Develop and test custom web parts, libraries and lists, and manage site permission
- Provide graphic support for the manipulation of existing images
- Support users in the setup and implementation of DOD selected collaboration tools including Microsoft SharePoint
- Defense Connect Online, and Microsoft Office tools
REQUIRED SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
Security Clearance: TS/SCI eligible
Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II, as set forth in DOD instruction 8570.01M
Proficient with Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Access and other Microsoft office tools
8 years of IT
Experience: 3-5 years of database administration experience
