Description

The corporate communications department is responsible for all business and trade press, and internal communications for the television business worldwide. The team disseminates information about the developments, positions and scope of SPT's operations to US and international media as well as SPT employees around the globe.
Projects include writing, editing and video production, all aimed to disseminate news about SPT to internal and external audiences. The intern will also be responsible for monitoring trade media for stories about or relating to the business, maintaining an up-to-date list of current pilot productions, as well as maintaining the department's communications calendar.
The intern will learn how to research and write a variety of internal and external communications -- including press releases, executive bios and internal newsflashes - in a quick and efficient manner to meet tight deadlines. They will also learn how to produce and edit short videos for the company's closed-circuit TV network, as well as assist with other intern video projects. By attending team meetings and planning sessions, the intern will gain a deeper understanding of the wide variety of business communications opportunities and issues facing a global television business as well as the broader entertainment industry.

Qualifications
The intern must possess strong writing and editing capabilities, and be familiar with traditional business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook). Great interpersonal skills are a must, as they will be interacting regularly with other interns, staff and leadership. They will need to be organized and able to pay attention to detail when tracking charts or information related to shows and pilots. They will need to be timely, have great follow through, be able to work independently, take initiative and follow directions. Video editing experience is desired but not required.
The Spectrum Internship Program's Fall session is a part-time, 20 hour/ week commitment lasting for a 14 week period from mid-September through mid-December. All applicants must be in good academic standing and available for the entire 14 week session.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
