Job Title: VP- Retail Banking Department: Retail Banking

Reports To: First SVP- Retail Banking Status: Exempt


BASIC FUNCTION: Direct, supervise and manage all aspects for the overall performance of the retail branch network team. In addition, the VP of Retail Banking will serve as both coach and mentor for the branch managers in their sales and business development efforts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Develop and manage deposit, loan, income and expense goals/budgets.

2. Serve as a coach and mentor for the retail banking staff utilizing the Fairmont process.

3. Assist with the interview and hiring processes for prospective employees in the Retail Banking sector.

4. Coordinate and maintain overall staffing needs for the Retail Banking sector; recommend changes in branch personnel, when appropriate.

5. Create and maintain all branch procedures and guidelines.

6. Coordinate with members of the Senior Management team to develop new retail products and services.

7. Identify new prospects, follow-up on leads and create new opportunities to increase the number of products per customer.

8. Guide and counsel Branch Manager sector with respect to Business Development skills.

9. Coordinate and support various community and civic events in order to promote good will and generate new business; serve as lead when necessary.

10. Direct Business Development initiative throughout the branch network.

11. Handle difficult customer complaints of any nature; maintain a close relationship with department heads to ensure that customer complaints and problems are resolved with little effort on the part of the customer.

12. Oversee and support every facet of the branch network.

13. Provide support and assistance with any Security and Fraud complaints.

14. Provide support and assistance with new and existing marketing initiatives

15. Make recommendations regarding advertising and community donation solicitations.

16. Work closely with all back-office departments to ensure continuity with branch network.

10. Knowledge of various Federal Regulations, including but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Regulation E and the responsibilities relating to each Act.


EDUCATION, TRAINING AND
Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree required plus 5 years management experience.

2. Business development experience preferred.

3. Prior participation in community/civic organizations.

4. Continuous on-the-job training with respect to policies, procedures and various Regulations; attendance at developmental seminars required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
