Fitness Equipment Technician / Mechanic
The Your Treadmill Technician LLC team is currently offering you an invitation as an organized and experienced individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician. Technicians who join our team must also be a self-starters, as this position allows you to make your own schedule while working in the field opposed, to an office.
JOB
Summary:
Field Service Technicians on our team repair, troubleshoot, maintain and occasionally assemble fitness equipment made by a large manufacturer. We work on treadmills, ellipticals and stationary bicycles. As a qualified Technician candidate you'll have your own tools and reliable transportation. Superb mechanical skills are a must and pretty good people skills are needed too. A good work ethic will take you far in this business, it'll come in handy right away. You don't necessarily have to have experience with these machines to get started. Almost any mechanical job or hobby could translate into this kind of work. The more experience you have the better but your potential will also be considered.
You'll schedule your own appointments with the customers assigned to you.
Some of our Technicans like the work much more than they expected. It's worth a try, if you don't like it, no hard feelings.
COMPENSATION:
Your work load will be directly related to the amount of machines in your area. Your pay will be a negotiated flat rate per service order (not necessarily per visit) plus mileage reimbursement for all visits over 50 miles from you. You may be expected to cover an area of up to a 100 mile radius (driving distance) from your location.
This is a 1099 job. You will be responsible for your taxes and any other related business requirements for the area you work in.
A simple employment background check will be performed.
