Client in Elkridge, MD is looking for a Sr Accountant to join a team of 6 in the Accountant department.
Candidate must have a mix of Accounting and Finance, Financial Reporting and Statements, a 2 year degree, and GAAP experience. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for internal and external consolidated financial statement preparation in conformity with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles. The Senior Accountant will be expected to manage duties independently when needed with external auditors, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for accounting research to validate or update current accounting practices when needed.
Would prefer a candidate with big four experience but not a must.
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a credit, drug screen and background check.
