Applications Engineer
POSITION
Summary:
Responsible for supporting customers by providing technical, design, and product application guidance to meet customer needs. Drives the internal technical Quotation process and competition phase of Commercial business activity.
BASIC FUNCTION:
o Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and proper application of engine and transmission component and systems to meet customer's functional/design requirements.
o Functions a primary technical liaison between customer and all company activities.
o Proper application may require development of new designs or modifications to current products to ensure product feasibility.
o Provides a smooth interchange of ideas and information between supervisor, engineer, co-workers, and customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Engineers products into customer applications for future sales.
Manages Program deliverable in advance of projects being transitioned to respective Program Manager.
Issues and follows through on appropriate internal documentation to provide full engineering and commercial service to customer for product sale and service.
Apprises company of product technical needs and customer activities.
Forecasts realistic customer technical requirements.
Maintains accurate and current records of sales and engineering Quotation activities.
Responsible for knowledge and performance of the quality systems and standards of the Our Customer.
Interacts and communicates with customer, vendors, and support resources.
Assembles information from various sources and derives action plans to achieve project goals.
Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications:
Requires a BSME or equivalent work experience with 5 plus years of engineering/sales/marketing experience or a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Preference given to applicants with experience in:
o Impeller drafting software (Max 5 preferred) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing;
o Diesel and/or gasoline engine performance and emissions characteristics
o Component machining design and manufacturing requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
