CRNP-SPECIALTY AND SURGICAL
Department Name VALVE CLINIC Job Description To provide medical services to patients individually or as part of a treatment team as well as collecting and documenting patient medical data.
To evaluate, diagnose, treat, educate and counsel patients in clinical and hospital settings.
Continuously evaluate the results of treatment for patients as well as patient need for surgeries and/or procedures.
To assist and/or perform procedures in clinic and hospital settings as necessary.
Counsel, teach and assist patients and their care givers on the prevention of illness, surgical follow up education, personal health maintenance and health restoration.
Refer to other health care professionals as needed.
Evaluate patient's current health by assessing the patient's health history and/or by performing a physical exam.
Order and interpret laboratory and other diagnostic tests and procedures as needed.
Maintain records and reports as required by regulatory agencies and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals (JCAHO).
Plan and implement treatment options based upon the health assessment results for the patient.
Provide follow up assessments with the patient to evaluate the treatment provided.
Order or perform additional treatments as needed.
Perform and/or assist with procedures in both clinical and hospital settings as necessary.
Provide assistance orientating and/or training new nursing personnel, as needed.
Provide educational information by conducting workshops, in-service training and distributing appropriate materials for patients and staff.
Serve as the expert clinical resource to the nursing staff and patients in the area of specialty.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
