Director of Nursing
The Director of Nursing will supervise all day-to-day nursing activities, provide and coordinate nursing care in accordance with facility standards, state and federal regulations, and assess residents care needs and take appropriate action to ensure quality care is maintained at all times. The Director of Nursing will motivate staff to perform at their highest level. DON reports to the Health Facility Administrator and assumes responsibility for center operations in the Administrator's absence. The DON actively collaborates with the Administrator on an as needed basis on a variety of topics such as resident care, employee and operational issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards and communicate same to staff through effective communication programs.
Monitor privacy compliance and report disclosures to the HFA.
Monitor quality improvement strategies in an effort to improve overall resident quality of care and life.
Assist in the implementation of written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing department and monitor for compliance.
Assume responsibility for compliance in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Participate in survey inspections.
Maintain highest ethical standards possible.
Utilize Electronic Medical Records.
RN (preferably BSN) holding a valid Indiana Registered Nurse License.
Desire to work with the geriatric population.
Proven record of staff leadership and team building with at least 1 years' experience as DON, ADON or similar position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
