National Territory Manager (Exp Selling to Pet Industry Required)

The National Territory Manager is responsible for improving revenue and developing sales methods for their accounts. The National Territory Manager will work alongside the Inside Sales Team, Marketing Team and Operations Team to grow their accounts quarter-over-quarter. This position will require a good amount of travel. This position will work remote, via their home office.
Essential Job Responsibilities include:
Mix assortment planning by category.
Ability to create cohesive coordinates or collections into a planogram.
Identifies current and future needs of customer and potential customers.
Develop, execute and communicate business plans for profitably growing sales of assigned customers. Provides market and competitor information to appropriate channel within the company. Accountable for attaining assigned sales quota, part margin and controllable expense objectives.
Maintains a current and competent base of product knowledge and applies that knowledge when servicing customers.
Aware and in pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new.
Communicates the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the team.
Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
Requirements for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree or comparable work history.
Pet industry, wholesale or retail product sales experience.
Merchandising experience preferred.
3-5 years' supervisory experience preferred.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Sales Professional that has experience building relationships with Corporate buyers.
Proven track record for increasing market share in national pet chains.
Innovative and able to build collaborative relationships with both internal and external clients.
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining National Accounts.
Strong negotiation skills.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
Ability to work independently in a remote sales environment.
Ability to travel weekly to meet with customers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM (SAP).
Display high energy, adventuresome, responsive, focused and caring attributes.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
