Responsibility:

Position plans, implements and drives design/development projects by providing direction from inception through production both in new product development and in existing product redesign.
position also researches new concepts, specifies tolerances, recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls, as well as coordinates manufacturing launch for new and revised products.
Supports Project Manager in the execution and oversight of engineering activity (all disciplines) on the CMRR project, or designated portions of the project.
Plans and directs engineering assignments on the project. Has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments.
Establishes or assists in establishing the detailed project execution plan and the development of the overall project engineering budget and schedule.
Performs and manages the work in accordance with relevant LANL standards.
When assigned directs engineering activities in preparation of project proposals, including estimates for engineering staffing, quantities, scope reviews, schedules and other functional groups.
Originates, reviews, and/or approves design documents, change orders, material requisitions and specifications for construction or procurement use.
Participates in the preparation of, reviews, and endorses bid analyses and recommendations for procurement of equipment material and services within Engineering's scope of responsibility.
Resolves field initiated questions on engineering.
Coordinates activities among the design groups on the project.
Reviews project engineering progress against approved schedules, evaluates changes and takes corrective action when required.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree
5-8 years engineering experience
PE certification a plus
prior experience with fixture/product design work utilizing Solid Works software
Knowledge of material and materials applications, product assembly processes and component applications in an assembly and product manufacturing environment is a plus.
Knowledge of engineering design processes and procedures,
Knowledge of related construction practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Desktop automation skills required (MS Office Suite).
Minimum of 2 years of engineering/architecture experience.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
