To provide quality ultrasound studies per physician orders. Assist co-workers to maintain quality patient care. Attends hospital departmental meetings and in services. Completes tech reports accurately and scans them into PACS in a timely manner. Completes Tech sheets and scans them into PACS as required. Comply with JCAHO requirements related to their duties. Comply with procedure protocols Complies with regulations under the HIPAA law. Demonstrate an organized approach to work load. Demonstrate knowledge of hospital policies related to emergencies. Documents and reports any patient incident within 72 hours. Document in patient charts when appropriate. Establish appropriate factors to perform quality images. Limited access to medication. Participate in departmental quality assurance program and departmental projects. Assist to radiologist and physician. Rotates call coverage. Support hospital departmental policies and procedures. Take verbal orders and documents appropriately in patient medical record Verifies orders for appropriateness and compliance. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience is preferred. BLS is required, Registry (ARDMS) also required.
