Requirements:
College Degree and/or Specific Certifications
Have at least 2 years of experience in I.T. field.
Cisco Networking certifications - CCNA CCNP (Preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems Setup & Deployment (Required)
General Server Hardware and Networking Equipment
Virtualization - VM Ware & HyperV
Position Description:
The Technician's role is to support and maintain client networks, computer systems, desktops, peripherals, etc. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required. Proactively manage and support clients via CG managed services.

Responsibilities:
o Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC performance and health.
o Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
o Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs.
o Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
o Communicate with staff or clients to understand specific system requirements.
o Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.
o Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information.
o Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.
o Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components.
o Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
o Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems.
o Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.
o Provide guidelines for implementing secure systems to customers or installation teams.
o Monitor system operation to detect potential problems.
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Personable, Good communication skills, able to represent the company in a reputable fashion.
Good understanding of Microsoft networks
Ability to use the following hand tools: electric drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers
Ability to walk over all types of terrain in all kinds of weather while carrying tools, ladders, and other equipment.
Ability to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring devices
Ability to perform job from high places (i.e. poles and roofs)
Ability to work while standing 50 - 70% of the time
Ability to work with small components and wires to make cable connections
Ability to use handheld communication devices and applications
Ability to use personal computer and software applications
Knowledge of company products and services
Education
High School Diploma, Technical School Training,
Associate or Bachelor College Degree (preferred)
