Production Assistant / Production Operator
Located in Shelbyville, TN, AB Stretch, LLC is seeking a qualified, experienced, and proven leader to join the AB Stretch team as a Production Assistant or Production Operator. The Production Operator is responsible for supervising and leading the Production Assistants.
Responsibilities:
o Learn and follow the company's manufacturing quality system, including working instructions and forms.
o Work on / lead stretch film product production lines.
o Cross-train on all product lines and serve as backup, as needed, for lines not assigned.
o Assist / lead production team with cleaning and organization of manufacturing areas.
o Ensure safe and orderly work environment and comply with all established safety guidelines.
o Examine product, comply with quality control processes and help solve technical problems related to all actives on the floor.
o Operate computer systems associated with production lines, as needed.
o Observe operation of machines and report equipment concerns to appropriate supervisor to ensure continuous product flow.
o Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
o Prior production and/or manufacturing experience in a clean environment (prior experience in a supervisory role for Production Operator).
o Ability to read and interpret measurements using a tape measure.
o Team player willing to take on additional responsibility as needed to meet customer orders.
o Dependable, fast learner, good analytical and problem solving skills.
o Ability to work various shifts, as assigned.
o Certified fork lift operator a plus.
o Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
o Must be able to stand, bend or stoop up to 8 hours per day.
Hours: Full-time. Work schedule varies.
Salary Range: $9.50/hour for Production Assistant and $12.00 - $16.00/hour for Production Operator, commensurate on experience. AB Stretch also offers an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, and paid vacations.
