Summary
Innovative international company has an immediate opening for a Revenue Recognition Accountant to join a fun, collaborative environment where the company focuses on your strengths and truly designs the position around your skill set and aptitude. This is a newly created position, so the individual will have a great deal of ownership of creating the revenue recognition processes and procedures. Responsibilities
Review purchase orders, sales orders, shipping documents, contracts and invoices.
Analyze and review all revenue related transactions and help create relevant policy and procedures
Partner with team leaders in legal, sales, customer service, trade compliance to resolve complex transaction
Prepare revenue documentation related to specific transactions
Provide analysis of revenue transaction and provide those reports to management
Evaluate customer invoices using 3-way match
Support projects by adding advice related to revenue recognition requirements
Reconcile revenue accounts
Provide work papers related to account analysis in order to provide control over balance sheet and assigned P&L accounts
Prepare documents related to revenue accounting topics
Responsible for period-end reporting for management and external auditors
Consistently responsible for keeping process improvements in mind
Maintain records in accordance with SOX requirements for internal & external reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with Accounting Focus
4
years of Accounting with 2
years of revenue recognition
CPA preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Demonstrated knowledge of revenue recognition
Knowledge of SOX requirements
Proven ability to perform financial analysis
Experience with ERP systems

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
