Community Support Specialist

Basic Job Duties
Primarily responsible for provision of Community Support Services for consumers with serious mental illness residing at 24-hour supervised, intermittent support residential setting, and independent living settings. Assist Residential Coordinator in overseeing operations, service interventions and staff performance within the residential setting, assuming this responsibility in the absence of or at the direction of the Residential Coordinator. Work with both internal and external providers to deliver appropriate services.
Education/Training Requirements
Bachelor's degree or RN preferred. May consider LPN or individual with MHP credentialing status. Must at a minimum, meet the DMH credentialing requirements of a Mental Health Professional (MHP).
Skills Required
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, have good social and assessment skills, and ability to work as a team member. Must have a commitment to work with persons with disabilities and demonstrates a belief in the principles of recovery and empowerment for persons with disabilities. Willingness to work flexible hours and basic computer navigation and word processing skills essential.
Other Requirements
Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and be insurable. Also must obtain and maintain Blood Borne Pathogens, OIG, Corporate Compliance and Security Rules. CPR and First Aid training after hired.
Employment is conditional upon passing fingerprint criminal background check.

$1,000.00 - $1,200.00 / biweeklyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
