The position of Health Technician is established to provide support in a wide variety of basic clinical and intermediate level administrative activities.
The incumbent must ensure compliance with VA regulations, JCAHO standards and other regulatory agencies.
It is anticipated that the incumbent will require guidance to acquire the necessary skills in the specific tasks, tests, and procedures to meet the patient care and program needs specific to the assignment.
In addition, the employee must possess the personal qualities, desire, and flexibility necessary to adapt to rapidly changing demands on time and an ability to quickly acquire needed skills to perform assigned tasks.
The purpose of the position is to improve the quality and timeliness by which basic services are delivered to the patients.

00pm DESIGNATED DRUG TESTING POSITION:
Applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug prior to appointment.
Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with the VA.
Applicant will not be appointed to the position if a verified positive drug test result is received.
RELOCATION EXPENSES AND/OR INCENTIVES ARE NOT AUTHORIZED .
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
