Field Scout

Precision Agricultural Services, Inc is currently seeking a highly motivated Field Scout who will work as part of a product stewardship team. The Field Scout provides monitoring to ensure requirements for proper seed movement, and monitoring and recording the planting, and harvesting of soybeans. Multiple inspections to each field will be required through the growing season as well. The majority of the work will be conducted outdoors and will include working in variable climates throughout the season. Each Field Scout will be provided with all job tools which will be expected to be returned at the end of the season. Expenses as result of the work activities including mileage and a daily lunch per diem will be reimbursed every two weeks. This position reports to the Area Manager and Project Manager.

The field scout will have the opportunity to work with and assist soybean growers in their local region. They will be responsible for the proper stewardship of new soybean technologies.

Responsibilities:
Among other activities as assigned, the field scout will be primarily assigned to the following tasks. Field Scouts will be trained in all the following activities. Prior experience is preferred but not required for employee application.
Completing profiles of the production growers in face to face meetings
Approval of grower storage facilities
Completing GPS mapping and basic surveying of soybean fields
Providing support for tracking seed delivery to the grower
Provide general oversight to farming operations
Provide communication to growers, Area Managers and Project Managers
Record/report accurately and timely all field activity
Provide daily status updates to Area Managers

Qualifications:
Required Skills/
Experience:
Minimum High School Graduate. BS Degree in Agriculture or related fields preferred.
Experience utilizing basic Apple Software Applications
Ability to pass a driving background check
Ability to pass a drug screening
Ability to work effectively independently, manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
Demonstrated ability to handle difficult people and situations.
Ability to navigate large fields by foot for mapping and scouting. Will involve working variable climates. All work will be conducted outdoors.
A vehicle (car or truck) to drive to the field sites. (mileage reimbursed at $0.575/mile with actual miles reported every two weeks)

Primary Location: Home Office in individual's local area 5-150 mile radius. Job requires daily travel in Field Agent's local area. Will require some travel with overnight stays for training purposes.
Pay: $20.00/hour salary with Bonuses available
Schedule: Seasonal Contract. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, but some weekends may need to be worked during busy parts of the season (spring). Project length is determined by the approval status of the product. This position does not include a benefits package.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
