JOB
Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring that quality patient care is provided.
Specifically the incumbent will be involved in operational activities for the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine department.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Provides direct patient care and prepares documents concerning the patient's care and treatment.
This position works under the direct supervision of the Hyperbaric Program Manager with occasional oversight by the Wound Nurse.
This position frequently interacts with adult through geriatric aged patients, but occasionally works with infants through pediatric ages.
This position is also responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chambers and related support equipment, as well as the day-to-day maintenance of the chamber and support equipment.
Assists with the data collection process regarding the patient's physical psychosocial, and health history.
Assists patients with ADL activities; function under the direct supervision of the Hyperbaric Technician and the Hyperbaric manager with treatments, equipment and procedures appropriate to the scope of practice.
Works closely with the Program coordinator doctors, nurses, family and patients to ensure that treatments are executed as ordered and ongoing communication with patient concerning wound status is achieved.
Reinforces education previously provided by licensed staff.

Manages time and resources in a manner that meets patient and departmental goals.
Qualifications:
Equal to completion of four years of high school or the equivalent is required.
Must have completed, or complete immediately following hire,a National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology approved hyperbaric medicine introductory course.
Must be certified or licensed in any of the following areas:
Medical Services Specialist, EMT, Paramedic.
Must be certified or become certified within one (2) years as a Diving Medical Technician (DMT) or Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT).
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.
e.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
) and web systems (i.
e.
Internet, etc.
).
A minimum of one (1) year work experience in healthcare setting is required.

Full-timeThe Global Energy & Natural Resources group manages relationships with clients in the energy, utilities, mining, and agriculture sectors.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
