Job Description
The Registered Professional Nurse represents UMMC in coordinating and overseeing patient care delivery with an interdisciplinary approach, utilizing the nursing process with a commitment to customer service. The Registered Nurse directs, provides patient care, teaching, participates in continuous quality improvement, educational experiences and documents complete and accurate patient information. Maintains standards of professional nursing practice and supports the nursing philosophy and objectives, as well as initiatives. All practices and patient care decisions will be consistent with established hospital policy and procedure, JCAHO and all state and federal laws.
Current RN licensure to practice in the State of New York and required certifications for respective nursing departments. Annual CPR certification required. Minimum two years' Operating Room experience required. CNOR, preferred.
Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in a caring, considerate and concerned manner. Willingness to accept responsibility. Ability to direct ancillary and assistive staff and organize work assignments. Leadership skills essential to the position.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
