The responsibility of medical assistant is places patients in exam rooms, obtains and records vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and a brief history of their illness. Cleans and prepares exam and procedure rooms, sets up necessary equipment and instruments. Sterilize of all instruments. Stock the exam rooms. Obtains consent forms from patients when necessary. Prepare patients for minor surgeries or other procedures. Assist physicians with surgical and other procedures as needed. Schedule the lab appointments or tests as ordered by physicians. Accurately manages lab specimens. Order the necessary medical supplies. Educate patients and families regarding specific diseases, proper follow up and preventative care. Act as a liaison between the physician and the patient. Administer medication as prescribed by the physician. Contact patients with test results as directed by the physician. Takes pharmacy calls and responds appropriately with refills per physician orders. Maintain other patient records and legal forms as required by law. Assist with chart preparation. Files tests, lab results, charts, etc. Answers phones, schedules appointments, and takes messages to pass to physician, manager, etc. Follow all clinic policies, procedures and work rules, as established from time to time by clinic management.
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years working as a Medical Assistant. Qualified candidates must be a graduate from an accredited medical assisting program (with current certification) or qualifying experience is required. Phlebotomy skills are a plus and EPIC experience is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
