Job Description
Summary:
The Clinical Assistant assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
Responsibilities:
Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Education &
Experience:
Preferred Qualification: One year of experience working in a clinical role.
Minimum Qualification: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or (DIPL) Diploma graduate of a Practical or Vocational Nursing Program or (ADG) Associate's Degree in Nursing-RN.
Licenses & Certifications:
Minimum Qualification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within six months of hire date to position.
Minimum Qualification: Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) within ninety days of hire date to position; or valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana obtained by hire date to position.
