Food Service Worker

The WG-4 Food Service Worker (Floater) is a fully trained food service worker performing a full range of the following duties:
organizing, prioritizing and completing work to meet strict time schedules and deadlines; directing and training lower grade employees in food service activities; accurately processing and maintaining correct diet transactions, special tube feeding formulas and nourishment orders by means of computer program or collecting diet change sheets in emergency situations; determining and maintaining stock levels of diet cards, forms, and supplies required for processing diet communications; making final check of diet trays assembled by lower grade workers for attractiveness, completeness, correct food temperatures, and to verify that food items on tray are appropriate for the prescribed diet and in accordance with the tray card prior to distribution; providing patients with basic information about modified diets and referring patients to appropriate dietitian as required; preparing special feedings and bagged meals for patients; calculating mixture strengths of formulas; applying special sanitary and safe food handling techniques and preparation instructions; weighing and measuring food items and recipe ingredients; operating and monitoring basic maintenance of motorized vehicle; operating a computer terminal to record and retrieve various information and to produce printouts for work units in the kitchen; and following prescribed safety procedures.

This position's initial duty station is the VA Hospital, Biloxi, MS; however, based upon the needs of the health care system, the duty station may require the individual to work from other facilities (e.
g.
Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC), Pensacola, FL; Mobile Outpatient Clinic, Alabama; Eglin Outpatient Clinic, Florida; and/or Panama City Outpatient Clinic, Florida).
Work Schedule:
Sunday through Saturday; 5AM-8PM, Rotating Shifts.
Tour of duty may be adjusted to meet patient specific needs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
