Accounting Clerk

Requirements
o Associates Degree in Accounting with two years of experience or five years of experience with no degree
o Excellent communication skills to work with internal partners and clients
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, & Word)
o Previous experience using accounting software, such as Ajera, Deltek, or QuickBooks
o Analytical skills to review and compile information for Management review
o The ability to work in a team focused environment
o Experience in Real Estate Accounting is a plus, but not a requirement
Responsibilities
o Handling heavy volumes of A/P and A/R
o Should have the ability to review, route, and process invoices as well as prepare payments in an integrated web based system
o Applying cash receipts to A/R system
o This candidate would be reporting to the Accounting Manager and act in a clerical function within the existing accounting department
o Other clerical duties as assigned

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
