Must have Dispatcher experience! Applicants without either prior Dispatch experience or EMS experience (as a Paramedic, EMT-A or EMT-B) will not be considered.
Our Communications Center is located in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
Uses a computer-aided dispatch system, receive emergency and non-emergency calls from skilled nursing facilities, residences, and hospitals. Determines the nature and location of the emergency; determines priorities, and dispatches ambulances or non-emergency units as necessary and in accordance with established procedures. Receive and processes emergency calls, maintains contact with all units on assignment, maintains status and location of all units. Answers non-emergency calls for assistance. Enters, updates and retrieves information from a variety of computer systems. Monitors several radio frequencies. Operates a variety of communications equipment, including radio consoles, telephones and computer systems.
Communications Dispatchers perform a full range of radio and telephone operational duties in this 24-hour facility. Dispatchers are required to process and prioritize incoming calls for EMS assistance.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must be emotionally stable, and able to multitask.
- Dispatcher will be working in stressful situations at times due to multiple incoming calls, including some parties that may be hostile, angry, ill, or scared.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
