Duties:
The incumbent,'s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, performing clinical and teleretina examinations within the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS), Eye Clinic.
Specific duties will include but are not limited to evaluation, interpretation of diseases and conditions of the eye and adnexa and ocular manifestations of systemic disease.
Other duties include ordering, verifying, dispensing and adjustment of optical aids for visually impaired patients.
In addition, this position may require dispensing and adjustment for hard/soft contact lenses as appropriate, including teaching, insertion, removal and care of lenses.
Incumbent will be responsible for the dispensing of various low vision aids for patients as appropriate, evaluation of extraocular muscle balance, pupil evaluation, and use of pharmaceutical agents for examination of the eye or management of diseases of the eye and adnexa.
Optometrist may dispense pharmaceutical agents as defined by the Texas Optometric Therapeutic Act.
The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and maintaining programs inclusive of professional, peer review, organizational improvement, continuing education, scope of practice, clinical privileging, and other quality and process improvement activities.
Additionally, incumbent may be required to perform special projects as deemed necessary by the Chief, Eye Clinic, Associate Chief of Staff, Surgical Service, and Administrative Officer, Surgical Service.
Other responsibilities of the incumbent will include attending staff meetings, completing all required education and trainings as mandated by CTVHCS, completing all medical documentation in a timely manner as directed by the Veterans Health Administration and local CTVHCS policies.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
