Accounting Manager
Oversees the daily accounting activities that are required to properly maintain the General Ledger, including but not limited to:
A/R, A/P, cash reconciliations, job costing,inventory control, fixed asset accounting, proper recording of revenue and expenses, and payroll expenses.
Daily cash management and long term forecasting
Maintenance of an organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions
Work in conjunction with multiple departments to monitor and analyze accuracy of record keeping, while working to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources
Resolve and/or assist others in resolving complex accounting issues
Respond to the inquiries from the CEO regarding financial results and special reporting requests
Must have good knowledge of all facets of accounting; prior experience with prevailing wages and unions preferred
Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
Ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently
