Our client is in need of an experienced Quality Engineer for a long term contract assignment.
Responsibilities:
Reviews quality and EHS issues in order to mitigate potential related risks, propose corrective and preventive actions, and review their progress.
Responsible for monitoring the COPQ and Lessons Learned Process.
Report and analyze key indicators in order to support the Continuous Improvement Process.
Document and maintain flow charts, metrics, policies, procedures, work instructions and forms as needed.
Support the creation of Thermal Services Steam Execution Center Management system.
Update and maintain Continuous Improvement project status within the tracking/monitoring system (i-nexus).
Lead Continuous Improvement projects.
Perform internal audits of the Management System.
Prepares monthly business unit reports
Prepares monthly EHS statistics on accidents, absenteeism
Prepares monthly EHS roadmap update, actions needed for closing issues and new actions
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Business, Engineering or equivalent field desired.
Black Belt or Green Belt training and experience desired.

years of experience in a Quality or Continuous Improvement and/or Six Sigma function.
Experience with effective problem solving methodologies and root cause analysis.
Experience with facilitation methods, process mapping and writing instructions.
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
Must be very familiar with computers and Microsoft Office and Visio software.
Knowledgeable of database use in Microsoft, Lotus Notes and Excel.
Must demonstrate exemplary writing, speaking and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Effective communicator, at all levels. Must communicate frequently to share information, speak with energy, enthusiasm, confidence and conviction.
Strong writing skills a must.
Able to influence and lead, train, mentor, and work in a team; effectively able to work at multiple levels within the organization.
Able to use the full range of Six Sigma tools e.g., brainstorming, detailed statistical analysis of data, use of statistical software.
Self-starter who can work on own initiative with minimum supervision. Must possess energy, enthusiasm, with a passion for excellence.
ISO-9001:2008; 14001:2004 auditor training desired.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
Ability to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally.
Authorization to work in the US without any further action from client.
Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
