Internship Goals:
To provide college students with the opportunity to gain -real world experience in the field of Human Resources. Students will be able to observe how the Fortune 500 insurance company of AFLAC organizes and develops its independent offices and independent contractors (insurance agents) to make up its field force.
Purpose of Internship:
Assisting the regional manager with the growth and development of the AFLAC organization in the Metro Detroit area.
Main Duties of Interns:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to being entirely involved in the recruiting process from searching for resumes online, scheduling interviews, pre-screening leads, interviewing candidates, and tracking the results for the field sales agents with AFLAC. The regional manager will work with the students in tailoring the internship program to meet their needs in terms of areas they wish to derive beneficial experience from.
Program Guidelines:
Expected length of the internship is thirteen weeks but may be longer if preferred. Schedule is flexible and entirelyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
