Position Description/
Responsibilities:
Nuspire is seeking multiple network security analysts & engineers to aid in designing, deploying, and supporting Nuspire customers networks. They will be required to process and analyze security threats from many different sources. Keep up-to-date on current security practices, and be able to talk about current treats and/or breaches. Also create ad hoc reports from formal and informal data and field questions from other security tiers and assist on long/short term projects
One Or More Required Skills:
Worked with SIEM tools and knows how to baseline alerting features, write aggregate / correlation rules.
Understands different services within a UTM edge device (AV, IDS, Firewall, application control)
Worked with IDS/IPS devices and has great understanding how to baseline alerting features and/or methodology of IDS signatures
Compliancy (PCI DSS, HIPAA, FISMA, SOX, GLBA, ISO 27000)
Application/Network syslog gathering and/or correlation of syslog events
Has performed Penetration testing in a formal manner
Good understanding of Linux OS's
Use grep, awk, sed, perl and/or python in order to parse large datasets
Has used data analytics for generating understanding of large datasets
Preferred Skills:
Understands the security environment from a threat protection point of view
Can dissect security exploits (either physically or from concept understanding) in order to understand how to protect our clients

Able to mentor coworkers in the security arts
Risk Mitigation, Vulnerability Mitigation
Great understanding of Network from an architectural view (how computing and network devices connect/communicate and function in an enterprise environment)
Has worked with open source software
Education/Certifications/Training Required:
Associate Degree in any IT related course of study, or equal experience in enterprise environments.
Education/Certifications/Training Desired:
Bachelors Degree
CCNA, CCNP, CCSP
Security+, CEH, CEPT

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
