Associate Product Manager - AMR/AMI Endpoints
Position Summary
At an entry-level Product Marketing position, the successful candidate will be focused on the marketing responsibilities for Neptune AMR/AMI system endpoints. Activities include, but are not limited to, managing the four P's (Product, Price, Promotion, Place) for the product line. The primary objective is to manage and grow the profitability of the product line (revenue, gross margin and EBIDTA). The Associate Product Manager will be the marketing liaison between the customer and the rest of the organization for his/her respective product line.
Objectives
1. Demonstrate in depth technical knowledge of AMR/AMI system endpoints.
2. Sales support and customer presentations. Assessment and evaluation of channel, and business planning (target accounts, revenue and GM targets). Evaluate and recommend sales and distribution strategies.
3. Develop and implement training programs for Customers, Distribution, Customer Support and Sales.
4. Assist with product line plans (new products, life cycle, etc.). Evaluate markets (shares, segmentation, etc.). Evaluate and develop competitive strategies using strong technical knowledge and understanding of business needs to recommend product improvements. Specify market requirements for current and future products.
5. Develop and implement communications plans (literature, manuals, White Papers, training materials, web, CD, advertisements, trade shows, etc.).
6. Lead requirement elicitation efforts, mechanical and hardware requirements, and use cases.
7. Analyze product line and promotional pricing, competitive tracking.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science/MIS, Applied Science, and/or equivalent experience
Experience: Minimum 3 years of industry experience.
Skills: Marketing, product development process, technical product knowledge including software and hardware. Specific skills and experience in addition to those listed above may be required for specific positions.
