Minimum four years professional experience in environmental science/planning, environmental permitting, NEPA documentation preparation (EIS, EA, CE), natural resource surveys and studies (including, but not limited to, wetland delineations and functional assessments, stream assessments, forest stand delineations, wildlife habitat evaluations and rare species surveys), permit compliance monitoring, mitigation feasibility assessments, post-construction wetland/stream mitigation monitoring, and watershed studies
Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), CE, CWB, and/or certified/professional wetland delineator certifications or demonstrated track to certification
Demonstrated experience in the independent conduct of wetland delineations, surveys of Mid-Atlantic regional vascular flora, and regulatory permit application development and regulatory agency coordination required.
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent writing skills and the ability to write concise and readable technical reports and documents
Must have a valid driver's license

Job Description: The Hunt Valley, MD office of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Environmental Scientist for immediate employment. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Environmental Science. The incumbent will report to the Environmental Science Department Manager of the AECOM Hunt Valley Environmental and Transportation Planning Department.
The Environmental Science Section is comprised of scientists, planners, and support staff and is responsible for conducting various types of environmental planning, permitting, TMDL, mitigation design, ecological studies, watershed studies, and NEPA documentation for roadways, aviation, transit systems, toll roads, bicycle/pedestrian facilities, and utility siting studies for local, state, federal, and private clients in the mid-Atlantic region. Examples of projects include major transportation (roadway, transit, aviation) environmental impacts studies, wetland/stream mitigation design, watershed assessments, and water quality permitting. The successful candidate will serve as a task manager on various projects involving the preparation of CEs, EIS/RODs, EA/FONSIs, wetland/stream mitigation design, permitting, and compliance monitoring.
Incumbent
Responsibilities:
Manage multi-disciplinary projects based on knowledge of environmental permitting processes including but not limited to NEPA, wetland/waterway permitting, Section 106, Section 4(f), MD Forest Conservation Act, and the Endangered Species Act (federal and state)
Prepare delineations of waters of the U.S. (including wetlands) in accordance with current regulatory requirements and guidelines; prepare supporting documentation; and conduct JDs
Prepare forest stand delineations, prepare forest conservation plans, and coordinate with local and State agencies as required
Prepare stream assessments for restoration planning/monitoring studies and designs
Prepare wetland delineation reports, functional assessments, mitigation plans, and environmental compliance/permitting documents
Conduct stream, wetland, and wildlife habitat assessments
Monitor wetland and stream projects
Utilize GPS, ArcGIS, and Microsoft office for project data collection, analysis, and reporting

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
