MATERIAL ATTENDANT
_JOB
Summary:_
Perform a variety of routine tasks to disburse materials, parts and supplies. Determine production locations and rearranges stock for best utilization of space. Fills production inventory as needed using the pull system by prioritizing orders, identifying items, and recording transactions to maintain inventory records. Responsible for the accuracy of inventory records of assigned area. Utilizes hand and power vehicles to move material.
_JOB REQUIREMENTS:_
Perform a variety of routine stocking duties typically including, but not limited to: Picking, marshaling, sorting, stacking, loading, labeling, etc.
Review, verify, and inspect for damage; identify production locations.
Fill production inventory, establishing sequencing priority.
Operates various hand and lift trucks including orderpickers, sideloaders, etc in order to distribute, move, ship and/or receive specified parts or equipment.
Utilizes personal computer in order to prioritize production line needs. Keeps accurate records of all transactions and audits transactions to ensure overall inventory levels are accurate.
Resolves routine and complex material work flow problems with assigned equipment/part orders and ensures that production is not slowed due to lack of equipment/parts.
Interfaces with multiple departments when resolving complex problems. Communicates with multiple shifts in providing information that will assist in work prioritizing.
Provides work direction to Material Attendant I's.
Keeps floor in front of racks neat and orderly.
Performs related work as assigned.
_EDUCATION/
Experience:

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Requires a broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. The ability to perform basic math and comprehend and follow complicated verbal and written instructions. Also needs to be able to operate a personal computer.
Position requires one or more years of manufacturing work experience. Should possess ability to utilize industrial equipment and have general warehouse knowledge.
Needs to have good communication skills including ability to persuade others in securing cooperation and/or resolving problems. Needs to be able to work in team environment and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and dependability.
Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.
_WORKING CONDITIONS:
_
Work in factory setting. May be required to utilize hand and power tools. Eye and foot protection required. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/manipulate parts in excess of 40 pounds.
