# Primary Purpose
Tests props to ensure that blades are the correct size, weight, quantity and angle.
#
Responsibilities Include
Checks shop orders to determine priority of props that need to be tested.
Stencils blade size, number of blades and the proper angle onto the blade. Attaches stickers that indicate in which direction the fan rotates.
Ensures that the blade angle is correct; bends if needed.
Adds prop's specifications into the computer and performs any necessary measurements including blade diameter. Ensures that the blades are at proper weights. Removes blade and records finished prop.
Prints record of balanced blade weights and places shop order with appropriate props.
Distributes materials into and out of work area by operating forklift, bridge crane and/or pallet jack.
Calibrates balancer on a weekly basis.
Additional duties may be assigned, dependent upon location and product line.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.

months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals written in English. Ability to read and understand shop orders and time sheets.
Knowledge of part and tool names.
Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers in a productive manner.
Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages. Ability to read graphs and tables.
Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner.
