Frontline Source Group - temporary staffing and direct hire firm - is offering an excellent opportunity to join the team of one of our clients in Murfreesboro.
The Continuous Improvement Manager position will be responsible for directing the development and execution of the lean/ continuous improvement program in this manufacturing, supply chain environment.
This key manager will initiate and deliver sustainable process improvements designed to exceed customer expectations while using lean strategies to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. This position reports to the VP Operations.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and align lean/ continuous improvement approach and principles globally.
Engage employees to educate and adopt lean/ continuous improvement principles as you lead the entire NA team
Manage and mentor focused process improvement projects as part of our lean/ continuous improvement transformation and coordinate other activities including Kaizen & 5S.
Promote and lead lean/ continuous improvement events - perform appropriate training, event preparation and facilitation, develop and implement a communication plan, conduct post event follow-up and auditing/ measurement of results, assure prompt delivery of required supplies and materials, and mentor team members.
Build and maintain the foundation for continuous improvement by ensuring the effective functioning of transformation activities aligned to our Lean Operating System.
Teach Lean tools to all levels of the organization (Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Set-up reduction, Standard Work, Visual Management, SQDC boards, MDI, etc.). Serve as the plant's internal 5S calibration expert.
Work with the operating leaders to develop a plant-wide Total Preventative Maintenance program

Desired Skills and Experience
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Science or Business
4
years of experience in a manufacturing, supply chain environment
3
years of experience in coaching and leading cross-functional teams, including team building, understanding motivation and negotiation techniques and providing work direction to others
3
years of experience applying Lean Principals in a Lean environment
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated facilitation experience
Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization
Demonstrate ability to motivate others and achieve results
Demonstrate a commitment for process improvement with measurable results
Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Preferred
Qualifications:
6
years of experience in a manufacturing, supply chain environment
3
years of experience in cross-functional project or lean program management
3
years of experience working with the implementation and oversight of 5S initiatives in a manufacturing environment
2
years of experience in a lean leadership role
