Job Details:

This position performs general security and safety functions to provide for the protection of person and property at various MaineGeneral worksites. The person selected for this position will ensurecompliance with all applicable policies, rules and regulations of MaineGeneral Medical Center, MaineGeneral Health, and applicable federal, state and local laws to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents. This position monitors the life safety and environmental alarms, and announces codes as advised and receives calls for the security department and dispatches officers when needed.
Current Licenses -Required
Valid Driver's License required
Certifications -Required
BLS is required within 3 months of hire
The following arerequiredwithin 6 months of appointment to position:
MOABcertification
Handcuff certification
O.C. (Oleoresin Capsicum) spray certification
Driver Training
Education - the level of knowledge usually acquired through completion of:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred
Experience
Up to 1 year, prior experience preferred
Other Special Skills -
Able to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
