## Job Summary
Adjunct faculty members are employed to provide specific courses on an as-needed basis. Contracts for adjunct faculty are issued on a term/semester basis. Adjunct instructors hold the responsibility for the courses taught. Adjunct instructors are expected to be available for a reasonable amount of time for each assigned course to counsel students regarding instructor's course work.
## Minimum Qualifications
1. Doctoral degree in Counseling or related field
OR
2. Master's degree in Counseling or related field AND minimum of 3 years professional experience in Counseling or related field
## Preferred Qualifications
1. Terminal degree in Counselor Education from a CACREP program
2. Professional licensure and/or qualified for professional licensure in the State of Alabama
3. Minimum five (5) years licensed professional experience in fieldwork
4. Minimum two (2) years teaching experience in higher education
