Description
Position Title: Manager Regional Support Services-SC

Position Summary

Position provides technical decisions, approvals, and guidance for estimating and building small cell networks at the regional level. Responsible for supporting the district teams in their performance of the region's estimating, fiber and hub-related work, financial information data entry and management, Project Management Office (PMO) related functions, and warehousing relating to product lines that include Outdoor DAS, Indoor DAS, Small Cells, and Fiber. Responsible for building and managing cross-functional project teams that work with the district teams to ensure that financial objectives are met and that Crown Castle's execution relative to external customer expectations and internal key performance metrics are achieved, up to and including the operational handoff in accordance with corporate standards and procedures.
Essential Job Functions

Ensure the timely support of the sales and RFP processes by estimators and district functional teams. Manage collaboratively with the Crown sales team relating to new business and escalate to appropriate individuals at the regional and corporate levels (i.e., sales, business development).
Work with the District Managers to manage the profit & loss, job cost, cash flow, contract deliverables, and increase asset yield for small cell projects and/or assets within the regional geography.
Serve as a subject matter expert across all product lines in the region in partnership with the Crown Castle sales team and the district management teams to support presales efforts and ensure that customer issues are resolved quickly and to the satisfaction of the customer and shareholders.
Ensure that the fiber and site modification teams keep the district teams informed of project progress, issues and projected completion dates. Develop a strong working relationship with each district team in order to maximize new opportunities and revenue.
Facilitate the flow through to the district team's relevant training, policy, and new tools and standards adoption from the National level.
Ensure the timely and accurate entry of region-wide data into the ERP system (e.g., JD Edwards Financial Module).
Ensure the efficient and safe warehousing of appropriate inventory levels of materials, parts and equipment utilized in the construction and maintenance of small cell networks in the region.
Work with the regional financial analyst and district managers to ensure the accuracy of forecast project budgets, project completion, project revenue and expense, as well as review the performance to budget and forecast on a monthly basis to improve accuracy & timeliness.
Partner across organization lines with peers in support of cross-functional Crown value initiatives and to collaborate on common management goals for the district, region, & country as a whole.
Manage a team of Program Managers, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Fiber Engineers, Financial PCs, and Warehouse Managers including hiring, terminations, performance reviews, training, rewards, and recognition, and scheduling.


Education/Certifications

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or business; or equivalent experience
PMP certification preferred

Experience/Minimum Requirements

Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in wireless project management or a related industry
Previous people management experience
Solid budget management background
Previous experience managing off-site teams preferred
Familiarity with fiber construction and fiber vendor management preferred

Other Skills/Abilities

Thorough knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management, asset management, and network construction in both the Public and Private rights-of-way.
Ability to read and understand financial metrics and identify remedies to financial issues
Ability to direct a team by setting goals and priorities to facilitate achievement of organizational objectives
Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.
Strong communication skills
Customer focus with a problem solving approach to each customer install
Disciplined approach to answering customer questions/concerns by the end of each business day
Working knowledge of the competitive landscape in the region and use this knowledge to drive success with customers on Crown Castle's assets in a way that is better, faster, cheaper than the competition

Organizational Relationship

Reports to: Regional Director Implementation

Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): Program Manager, Project Manager, Fiber engineers, Warehouse Manager, Project Coordinator - Financial

Working Conditions: Works in a normal office setting, and expected to be physically present in the regional office when not otherwise traveling to the other regional offices. Frequent travel within the region will be required, with occasional travel outside of the region.

Additional Information: N/AEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
