We currently have an opening for an Executive Assistant to support the CEO. The ideal candidate has strong verbal, written and social skills as well as the ability to manage projects.
Responsibilities include:
Provide administrative assistance to the CEO, including, but not limited to, travel arrangements, scheduling and correspondence, filing, phone answering and attending and taking minutes of various Board and Staff meetings.
Under the direction of the CEO, provide administrative assistance to the Directors of the Board.
Attend Executive Committee, Board of Director meetings and sundry committees of the board of directors. These meetings can and will occur before and after normal work hours.
Work closely with CEO to schedule meetings of the Board of Directors and its committees as well as take minutes at meetings.
Work in cooperation with various Agency department staff on a variety of projects such as event planning and coordination, secretarial functions, etc.
Draft correspondence as requested by CEO.
Serve in a mentoring role for other agency administrative assistants and support staff.
Represent, in a professional and appropriate manner, the CEO and/or the agency at internal and external meetings as requested.
The successful candidate must have excellent written, oral, computer, administrative, and organizational skills; must be able to multi-task and be self-motivated; and must be able to work with diverse groups of people. Candidate must also be able to maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint is necessary; understanding of Excel is useful.
A Bachelors degree and minimum three years relevant work experience is required. We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefit package.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
