Key Role:
Provide direct targeted Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) to Colorado Head Start grantees in the areas of school readiness, parent and family engagement, and teacher qualifications to promote positive and sustained child outcomes for the children served in each state. Provide professional development, training, and coaching services to Head Start programs and State Early Childhood Partners. Implement programs to improve the quality of teaching and learning within Head Start grantees and maintain compliance with Head Start performance standards. Train in one on one and in small clusters. Leverage understanding of the program compliance standards for Head Start and Early Head Start programs as related to the areas cited above. This position offers remote work and requires 35-50% travel.
Basic
Qualifications:
-5 years of experience in the field of Head Start, Early Head Start, or Early Care and Education
-Experience with early child education areas, including teaching and learning, teacher career development, parent and family engagement, and collaboration with state partners
-Knowledge of the early childhood systems at the national, state, and local levels
-Knowledge of adult learning principles
-Ability to deliver presentations
-Ability to self-regulate completion of tasks in a home office setting
-BA or BS degree or recent experience in Early Childhood Education or Child Development fields if degree is over 10 years old

Qualifications:
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-BA or BS degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field; MA or MS preferred
